Ntunkum health facility cries for renovation

The head of Ntunkum CHPS compound near Adarkwa in the Suhum Municipality has appealed to the Municipal Assembly to help renovate the facility.

Madam Elizabeth Kontoh, the head of the facility, told the GNA in an interview that since the facility was built about 15 years ago, it had never seen any renovation not even painting.

The building has developed cracks, the gutters are broken and the paints have all faded out.

She said because there were no midwives or medical assistants, all major cases that come to the facility are referred and only uncomplicated cases are treated at the facility especially malaria.

Mad Kontoh said even though the facility was to serve all the people of Dawa, Ntaabea, Adarkwa, Otwebediadua and all the surrounding villages, because there is no midwife or medical assistant patronage is low.

She appealed to the Municipal Assembly for the renovation of the facility and the posting of a midwife and medical assistant to the facility.
