A leading member of the NPP, Kofi Wayo, has been labelled as a thorn in the flesh of the party, who must be shown the door or forced to shut up.
Surveys conducted in the Ashanti Region, in particular, indicates that the average NPP supporter in the region is disenchanted with the sort of comment Kofi Wayo has been making on air and in print concerning his assessment of the Kufuor regime.
They told THE DAILY GUIDE that most of them voted for the NPP due to the effective ways in which Kofi Wayo, campaigned for the party.
“Now the man has abandoned all that he stood for and has instead turned his back on a party he claims to love.”
They dared him to join the NDC and turn his back openly against the way he has done to the NPP, and see what will happen to him.
The supporters were reacting to an allegation by Mr. Kofi Wayo that some Kumasi-based media practitioners are on the payroll of the NPP administration that is why they champion the cause of the government.
