Drivers appeal for rehabilitation of Suhum/Adarkwa road

Drivers who ply the Suhum/Adarkwa road have complained about the poor nature of the road and called for its rehabilitation.

The road has deteriorated so much that it has now become a death trap when it rains.

Mr Joseph Kwabena Adarnor, a taxi driver, said the bad nature of the road made driving difficult especially when it rained.

He said though reshaping of the road was done every two or three years, a portion of the road from the Gethsemane Church to the Hill Top needed improvement.

Mr Adanor said it was not possible for two vehicles to bypass each other as one vehicle had to spark for the other to pass.

Mr Moro Ibrahim, a taxi driver, said the bad nature of the road caused consistent break down of vehicles.

He said many vehicle owners had stopped their drivers from using the Suhum/Adarka road.

Mr Ibrahim appealed to the Department of Feeder Roads to rehabilitate the road.
