Onset of the major rainy season for the year is expected within the next 10 days, the Ghana Meteorological Services Department said on Thursday.
A release issued by the Medium Range Division of the Department in Accra and signed by the Acting Director, Mr F. P. Mote said the start of the rains would be characterized by thunderstorms and strong winds. It therefore, asked Ghanaians to take the necessary precautions.
The release said the rains would start in the Southern sector on or about March 14 – 21, both the Eastern Coastal sector and the Middle belt would have theirs on March 24-31 and the Northern sector, April 16 – 23.
