It has emerged that former Speaker of Parliament Justice D.F. Annan is the head of the Legal Committee that is studying the notices from the National Reconciliation Committee (NRC) to former President Rawlings.
Rawlings aide, Mr Victor Smith told the THE INDEPENDENT in reaction to their questions last Tuesday as to whether Rawlings will appear before the NRC or otherwise that “The former President’s Lawyer’s are studying the invitations.
Asked who the lawyers are, Mr Smith said they are made up of a team that has been put up at the party (NDC) level with Justice D.F. Annan as Chairman. Mr Smith could not however tell whether the Committee has finished its work.
