Akufo Addo urges media to be professional

The flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo, has challenged the media to uphold the tenets of the profession in the highest esteem, saying practitioners cannot afford to lower the standards set.

He said the media cannot renege on its responsibility of championing development, because it is a duty they owe to the citizenry.

Nana Akufo Addo made this observation when he interacted with the media at his Nima residence in Accra.

He used the occasion to thank the media for its role in deepening Ghana’s democracy, further urging journalists to build on the gains made so far.
