Latter Day Saints donates to charity organization

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Canada, has donated items worth GH¢22,098.40 to the Urban Poor Children Organization (UPCO) and some communities in Agege in Accra.

These items were to assist in tackling the sanitation problem of the community and also to assist the school.

The items were books, shovels, wheel barrows, waste bins and sprayers.

Elder Bullock, Welfare Missionary of the Church, said the Church made the donation to improve the lives of the vulnerable in developing countries such as Ghana.

He said the prevailing sanitation problem in the country was a serious issue that needed to be addressed with urgency and appealed to the people to ensure they made good use of the items to ensure a clean environment.

Mr Gideon Markin, Director of UPCO, thanked the Church for its support for the organization and the community.
