Ghana Embassy in Senegal robbed

Reports reaching Peacefmonline.com indicates that thieves have raided the Ghana Embassy in Dakar, Senegal.

Speaking in an interview on Peace FM’s “kokrokoo” programme with host Kwami Sefa Kayi, Kobby an eyewitness and also a businessman in Dakar disclosed that upon reaching the Embassy this morning, the embassy had been broken into by some thieves.

The thieves are reported to have scaled the wall and gone through the windows at the Embassy to ransack the place.

According to the resident, who only gave his name as Kobby, the thieves may have bolted with some valuable items in the Embassy, but the authorities are yet to confirm.

Authorities of the Embassy and security services in Dakar have begun investigations into the incident.

A senior official at the Embassy has also confirmed the incident.
