District Chief Executive calls for cleanliness

Mr. Samuel Adom Botchway, the District Chief Executive for Asikuma-Odoben-Brakwa, has appealed to people in the district to take their personal hygiene seriously especially in the wake of the outbreaks of cholera in some parts of the country.

“Let us strictly adhere to health precautionary measure of getting rid of this disease especially by washing our hands with soap frequently under running water”, the DCE said.

Mr. Botchway gave the advice at a fund raising harvest by the chiefs and people of Breman Jamra as part of activities making this year’s celebration of Odwira Afahye.

He commended them for undertaking clean-up exercises and said a polyclinic would be built in the district and would be sited at Breman Jamra.

He said the contractor, the consultant and officials of the Ministry of Health had inspected the site.

Mr. Botchway said the district abounds in both human and material resources needed for the development of the district adding that the only challenge however, is the technical know-how to harness or mobilize them for the benefit of district.
