The Saturday 18th delegates congress of the New Patriotic Party that elected Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo-Addo as the third – time flagbearer of the party has been described as needless, waste of time and resources.
Breaking his long silence after suffering heavy defeat during the New Patriotic Party’s lust national executives elections, the former chairman of the party , Mr. Jake Obetsebi Lamptey said the party must learn how to build consensus and not subject everything to vote.
Speaking to Kwame Tutu, the new breakfast show host of Accra based Rainbow Radio 87.5 fm, the man popularly referred to as Jake noted that consensus building is part of democracy. In his assertion it was obvious that Nana Akuffo-Addo was the people’s choice and hence there was no need for the just ended congress.
Jake Obetsebi Lamptey urged the rank and file of the party to ensure unity talks are immediately initiated to bring all parties together to work to wrestle power come 2016.
