NOBODY IS LEVIED TO MEET PRESIDENT KUFUOR

The UK Mission’s attention has been drawn to a report published in the HERITAGE newspaper which alleged that various sums of money were collected by Ghanaian officials before being allowed to meet the President, H.E. Mr. J.A. Kufuor during his visits to various countries including London.

I hasten to say that the allegation is baseless and without foundation.

The doors of the Mission are opened to all Ghanaians and friends of Ghana.

It would have been appropriate if the Editor of the paper had done his home-work by soliciting the views of the respective Missions mentioned in the report.

This is a basic journalistic practice.
