Philanthropists donate to Orphanage

A number of philanthropists from Nkoranza and Techiman have donated money, food items, detergents, second hand clothing and drugs for the upkeep of the 20 children at Royale Child Foundation Orphanage at Nkoranza.

Mr Karikari Poku-Bediako, Founder of the Home and Project Director told the Ghana News Agency at Nkoranza that a recent donation was from Nkoranza Chemical Sellers Association, which gave first aid drugs such as paracetamol tablets, dewormers, multivitamin syrup, cotton wool and plasters.

Nana Amoateng Ameyaw 11, chief of Amoma in the Kintampo District, who sometime ago donated plastic plates and cups to the Home also presented 100 tubers of yam.

Madam Elizabeth Adjei Ampomah, businesswoman, has also donated quantity second-hand clothing valued at about 400,000 cedis and 12 bars of Key Soap for the upkeep of the children.

Members of the Nkoranza Saint Martin De Pores’ Church on Sunday also donated 100,000 cedis to the Home.

Mr Bediako-Poku expressed appreciation and gratitude to the donors as the gesture had greatly supported the management of the Home and called for more assistance.
