Nkoranza South NDC elects new constituency executives

The Nkoranza South Constituency of National Democratic Congress (NDC) has elected a party activist, Mr Robert Kainsung, aged 43 as the new Constituency Chairman.

Mr Kainsung polled 315 votes to beat his opponent and incumbent, Mr Thomas Baffoe Ankomah, who polled 56 votes at a constituency delegate’s election supervised by the Nkoranza South Municipal Office of the Electoral Commission on Monday.

Other elected positions were vice chairman, secretary, assistant secretary, organiser and women organiser.

Mr Kainsung promised the executive would work hard to maintain the Parliamentary seat for NDC in the Election 2016 and therefore pledged a personal donation of GHC2, 000.00 to support the constituency’s organizational activities and programmes.

Mr. Emmanuel Kwadwo Agyekum, Deputy Minister for Local Government and Rural Development, said it was important for both winning and losing candidates to unite in the interest of the Party for victory in the Election 2016.

Madam Stella Amoatemaa, Nkoranza Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) advised the executives to exhibit positive attitudes as leaders and ensure effective discharge of their roles and responsibilities to maintain the faith and confidence reposed in them by the delegates and members of the party.
