Over 150 UCC students admitted over cholera, food poisoning

About 100 students of the University of Cape Coast have been admitted at the university’s hospital in the Central region for cholera.

Two people have so far been reported dead.

Starr News checks have also revealed that over 50 students are also on admission for food poisoning.

Ghana is presently battling a severe cholera outbreak with more than 3,000 cases reported nationwide.

Over 100 lives have been lost in Accra alone, in what has been described as one of the worst outbreaks.

The University of Cape Coast’s cholera outbreak is the first of such in the Central region.
