Gov’t pays all arrears of school feeding programme

Government has released GH¢ 112 million to pay all arrears of the school feeding programme to enable the academic year to start on a clean sheet.

The full payment is also to motivate people who provide services for the programme to work with dedication and commitment.

The National Coordinator, Seidu Adamu, disclosed this at a workshop for District Implementation Committees from Seventeen Districts in the Ashanti Region in Kumasi.

He wondered why enrolment in some schools where feeding is in progress are different compared to enrolment submitted for the capitation grant.

He was emphatic that such inconsistencies are unacceptable.
