Ghana still Ebola-free as latest suspected case proves negative

The latest suspected Ebola case which was referred to the Noguchi Memorial Institute by the Achimota Hospital in Accra has tested negative, StarrFMonline.com can confirm.

Reports of a Nigerian man who was rushed to the hospital for a possible Ebola infection went viral, Sunday. Media reports suggested that health officials at the hospital deserted their posts over fear of contracting the disease.

But StarrFMonline.com sources at the hospital say the blood sample of the patient tested negative for Ebola.

According to our sources, the patient was rather suffering from Pharyngitis and not Ebola.

StarrFMonline.com can confirm that the said patient has been discharged.
