Baffour Gyan signs bond of good conduct

Baffour Gyan, former Ghana international and brother of skipper of the Black Stars Asamoah Gyan, has been granted bail by the Police following his attack on a journalist in Kumasi on Friday.

The culprit was arrested and placed in custody on Saturday after he was declared wanted by the Ashanti Regional Police Command for allegedly leading some thugs to attack Daniel Kenu, the Regional Editor of the Daily Graphic.

Kenu had gone to the Baba Yara Sports Stadium to pick up his accreditation card for the Ghana-Uganda Africa Cup of Nations qualifier when he was confronted and beaten by Gyan and the thugs without any provocation.

The victim had since received treatment at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital.

A police source, confirming the bail to the GNA Sports on Sunday, said the culprit signed a bond of good conduct before his released.
