Delegates took spiritual oath to vote Akufo-Addo

Nana Addo-Dankwa Akufo-Addo, the potential 2016 flagbearer of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) is in a fix.

He is under an intense pressure to prove Dr. Kobena Arthur Kennedy’s assertion that he– Nana Addo – has not supported the violent occurrences that recently reared its ugly head in the party.

Many of Nana Addo-faction members have, in private conversations, told The Informer that, Nana’s attention has been drawn to the fact that the Chairman of the NPP in the Northern Region, Daniel Bugri Naabu, has said that he is going to smoke out those delegates from his region who defied a spiritual oath and did not vote for Nana.

Nana’s dilemma is now like somebody who has climbed a tree, but halfway through sees a poisonous snake above, and below is a wild lion.

Simply put, had Nana Addo criticized the threats by the Northern Regional Chairman, he would not in the future get people to support him; by verbally threatening others.

If he hadn’t, then he is seen to have confirmed Arthur Kennedy’s accusation that he (Nana Addo) has been encouraging violence in the NPP.
