Ghana To Receive ?40mil Grant From Britain

Ghana is to receive forty million pounds sterling grant from Britain to support the programmes of the Ministry of Health for the next five years

The Minister of Finance Yaw Osafo Maafo and British High Commissioner Dr. Rod Pullen today singed an agreement to this effect in Accra today.

Mr. Osafo Maafo said the grant vindicates the polices being implemented by the government to make health accessible to all Ghanaians.

The finance minister says the government will implement all its health policies promised during the last elections including the national health insurance scheme.

On his part the British High Commissioner Dr. Pullen pledged his government’s assistance to the government in executing it policies especially in the health sector. INC
