Africans Asked To Pull Resources In The Fight Against Malaria

African Governments have been urged to consider the possibility of pulling resources towards the total elimination of the Malaria parasite from the continent instead of concentrating only on the treatment of malaria and vector control activities. This is because the eradication of the parasite is the most effective way of controlling the disease which for long time has been the major cause of illness and deaths on the continents. The call was made by the Medical Superintendent of the Wa Government Hospital, Dr.. Edward Gyaberi, at the opening of the three day training course on Malaria control for about 25 medical assistants in the Wa District of the Upper West Region. Correspondent Chris Alalbila was there and has telephoned this report. End
