Akufo-Addo must win to cut down NPP’s cost in 2016 – Bature

Managing Editor of the Al Hajj Newspaper, Alhaji Iddrisu Bature, has joined the mass chorus in endorsing presidential hopeful of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo to lead the party again for the third time.

According to him, despite the up-coming keen flagbearership contest, he predicts an overwhelming win for the party’s two-time presidential candidate.

He insists that, Nana Addo’s win will go a long way to “cut down the party’s cost” in selling another presidential candidate in the 2016 polls.

He further noted that, “Nana Addo’s maturity as a good leader will also resolve the crisis in the NPP if elected ones again to lead the party as a flagbearer”.

Speaking on Adom FM, Alhaji Bature noted that in spite of the massive support for Nana Addo, the party must be cautious of how they treat other aspirants hoping to lead the party.

“The endorsements are good but it will not help Nana Addo if the other aspirants are ridiculed. Supporters of Nana Addo hooting at other aspirants will not do Nana Addo any good…I hope someone tells him about that,” he said.

Adding that; “so if Nana Addo wins, other aspirants mocked during their flagbearership campaign by Nana Addo’s followers and MP’s might reject a call up to join the main election campaign. That will be impossible and will affect the party as well’.
