Kofi Adams can’t win top NDC post – NDP Man

A leading member of the Nana Konadu Agyemang Rawlings-led National Democratic Party (NDP), Mr. Joseph Bediako, has said regardless of the massive support enjoyed by Mr. Kofi Adams from the Mahama government, particularly, the Flagstaff House, he cannot beat incumbent Yaw Boateng Gyan for the post of National Organizer.

Joseph Bediako made this prophecy during an interview with Okay FM, a local radio station in Accra, when he was called to comment on a statement made by Kofi Adams that the NDP that he (Kofi Adams) struggled to bring forth was useless.

In expressing of shock and surprise, Mr. Bediako pointed out that it is unfortunate that Kofi Adams today is spewing ills about the former First Lady, describing her as unmarketable commodity.

“It is surprising that Kofi Adams has suddenly turned around to bash the former First Lady, after he came up with the idea of forming the National Democratic Party (NDP) in an attempt to break away from the bad practices and intimidation of the NDC, during the 2011 Primaries of the party,” Joseph Bediako is reported to have said.

Scandalized by the attitude of his former colleague, Mr. Bediako, in a telephone interview with the host of Okay FM’s “Ade Akye Abia” programme, disclosed that the NDP’s colours currently in use, were proposed by Kofi Adams in spite of attempts to distance himself from the party.

On his (Kofi Adams’s) decision to unseat incumbent Yaw Boateng Gyan of the National Organizer position, Mr. Bediako stated that in the face of support being received from the seat of government, he will not be successful in his quest to become the next National Organizer of the NDC.

“I want to be emphatic that Kofi Adams will not win the National Organizer position of the NDC despite his backing from the Flagstaff House,” the incensed Bediako, unequivocally stated.

According to him, he will continue to link Kofi Adams to the NDP, in that, he was the brain behind the NDP and cannot continue to play the ostrich.

“I was disappointed when he pulled out from NDP after helping to form the party; this is why I always mentioned him in my speech in anger that he is a hypocrite,” angry Bediako concludes.
