The State Insurance Company has honoured 147 members of staff with 10 to 35 years’ Long Service Awards and Certificates.
An end-of-year staff durbar held in Accra saw the staff taking home between ?1million and ?7million as well as deep freezers, table top refrigerators, television sets and other domestic appliances.
For the first time in the company’s history, staff members were recognized for their contribution to the sustainability and growth of SIC in commemoration of the company’s 40th Anniversary celebrated this year.
The presentation of Long Service Awards was an outcome of negotiations held early in the year with Management, following which a new salary structure was also approved.
To improve the skills of staff members 400 of 620 work force have so far benefited from an on-going Total Customer Solution Course to ensure customer satisfaction.
The Managing Director, Mr. Peter Osei Duah who addressed the durbar assured SIC’s clientele of improved services during the coming years.
