Meteo warning: Thunderstorm to hit Northern Ghana

A moderate thunderstorm observed in the north of Ghana, from Burkina Faso, is expected to move southwards to affect the northern parts of the country, the Ghana Meteorological Agency has warned.

In the wake of the thunderstorm, most part of northern Ghana is expected to experience cloudiness and “also possibly isolated rain of variable intensity.”

A release signed by Peter Nunekpeku, the Duty Forecaster on Sunday, said strong to moderate windy conditions will accompany the thunderstorm.

Areas named to be affected are Paga, Navrongo, Garu, Bawku, Bolgatanga and its environs, all in the Upper East Region and Tumu, Wa and its environs, all in the Upper West Region.
