World Cup: Over 400 fans stranded at Kotoka Airport

Some supporters of the Senior National team, the Black Stars, are fuming over their inability to be in Brazil, the tournament venue for the 2014 World Cup.

According to the aggrieved supporters who spoke to XYZ News, they cannot come to terms with why they are still in Ghana when the World Cup tourney is already underway.

A supporter Abdul Aziz complained bitterly about the exorbitant prices being charged by the Airline companies and is calling on the Government of Ghana to put in mitigating mechanisms to ensure their safe flight to Brazil.

He further intimated that some supporters are being discriminated against in the sense that he cannot fathom why some patrons of the Black Stars have been treated with kid gloves and others are made to go through torrid times before journeying to Brazil.

Another supporter, Nana Hemaa Brentuo, revealed that they must be rewarded on account of their unflinching support for the Black Stars over the years.

According to her, the Netherlands rode on the back of their teeming patrons to flaw the Spaniards in their group opener last Friday and the Black Stars can also win if their supporters travel to Brazil in their numbers.

She added that government must come to their aid the supporters are integral to the Black Stars fortunes in the ongoing tournament.

”The Black Stars are working for Ghana and the supporters are also working for the country “she said.

The over five hundred supporters say they would not leav the Ohene Sports Stadium until they are airlifted to Brazil.
