Wenchi District to introduce health insurance scheme this year

The Wenchi District in the Brong Ahafo Region is to introduce a Mutual Health Insurance Scheme this year in line with the government’s policy of providing quality health services to the people.

Mr. B.C.K Botwe, Principal Health Services Administrator of the Methodist Hospital in Wenchi who said this appealed to the government to ensure that the scheme is introduced throughout the country by the end of the year.

He was speaking at an end-of-year party for workers of the hospital, during which eight retired employees received monetary rewards for their meritorious services.

The Administrator appealed to the Wenchi District Assembly to assist the hospital to improve its facilities and called on all those who owed the hospital to settle their bills.
