Quaye Nungua Foundation Awards First Scholarship

In January 2002, the Quaye Nungua Foundation awarded its first scholarship to a needy student. The scholarship, awarded to Mr. Samuel Afotey Otu, is the first scholarship grant in what the foundation hopes will be many programs to alleviate poverty and lack of education in Ghana, and particularly in Accra. In January, Afotey enrolled in ?Institute of Technology? at Tema to study a course in computer technology. In April, he received a new computer as part of the scholarship package. The foundation is developing other programs with Nungua Secondary School, and the Quaye Nungua RC Basic School (QNRBS) both located at Nungua.
