Second Lady donates assorted items to Children’s Hospital

Second Lady, Mrs.Matilda Amissah Arthur, on Wednesday June 4th donated assorted items to the Princess Marie Louise Hospital in Accra in line with her commitment to improve health service delivery across the country,
The assorted items included schools bags with learning tools, assorted fruits for children on admission at the pediatric ward.

Speaking at the presentation ceremony, Mrs. Matilda Amissah Arthur commended the hospital for the role they are playing together with their commitment to managing childhood illnesses.

The Second Lady who was conducted round by the Board Chairman for the Children’s Hospital, Father Andrew interacted with some of the children on admission at the hospital and gave them school bags, pencils, books, toys and wished them a speedy recovery

The Second Lady Mrs. Matilda Amissah Arthur believes that charitable donations are key to making us what we are: so a centre of paediatric excellence that the whole country depends on, being the only children’s hospital in the country there is the need to support them.

.Her aim is to see to it that children at such places are treated with care because they are the most precious priority as parents, so the choice of the Children’s Hospital in particular was because children are the future leaders and is someone who believes in growing with the young generation in the area of health care delivery.

Receiving the donation the Board Chairman for the Children’s Hospital, Father Andrew was full of gratitude to the Second Lady, Mrs. Matilda Amissah Arthur, especially her work in the area of helping the needy and of social services in the country, he called on other people to emulate her work
