Omane-Boamah talks up ‘brains’ at National Economic Forum

Minister of Communications Dr. Edward Kofi Omane-Boamah has expressed satisfaction with the “brains” that have congregated in Senchi in the Eastern Region to brainstorm on the economy of the nation.

The invitees are participating in the 2014 National Economic Forum, which began on Tuesday and scheduled to end on Friday, May 16.

It is under the theme: “Changing the narrative: Building a national consensus for economic and social transformation.”

“I have no doubt in my mind that the brains that have gathered here spanning major political parties; spanning academia; spanning the civil service, the larger public service, the private sector, development partners, our chiefs, we can just not say that we are not going to do what is necessary,” Dr. Omane Boamah told TV3’s Edward Kwabi on the sidelines of the Forum.

The Forum is expected to map out a strategy towards alleviating the economic woes the country is experiencing.
