Otumfuo is my husband – Akua Donkor

Akua Donkor, Founder of the Ghana Freedom Party (GFP), says the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II is her husband.

Clad in Kente, the GFP leader disclosed this hilarious information to the media at the Baba Yara Stadium on Sunday during the grand Akwasidae to climax Otumfuo’s 15th Anniversary.

Otumfuo Osei Tutu II is officially married to Lady Julia Osei Tutu and the couple has two lovely children.

Madam Donkor, in a brief chat with journalists at the function, stated that she was proud to be married to a dignitary like Asantehene, who commands immense power and respect across the globe.

“I am at this grand Akwasidae to support my one and only husband, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II to mark his 15th anniversary on the Golden Stool.”

Madam Donkor burst into uncontrollable laughter in the presence of the media personnel.

Touching on other pressing national issues, the GFP leader charged Ghanaians to unite and work hard to effectively develop the country.

She was of the view that Ghana would develop effectively and rapidly if the citizens consider themselves as one people.

Madam Donkor also stressed the need for Ghanaians to uphold their rich culture and traditions.

She particularly admonished the youth, whom she said, were the future leaders, not to ignore their culture.

Madam Donkor is noted for making hilarious comments both in the print and electronic media.

Though not formally educated, Madam Donkor has continuously disclosed her intention of becoming president of the country in future.

She promised to address the citizenry in ‘Twi’ during formal functions if she becomes the president.

Madam Donkor chastised politicians in the country for taking delight in speaking impeccable English and failing to improve the lives of the masses.
