Yendi exceeds immunization target

The Tamale Senior Technical Disease Control Officer, Mr Edward Accrachie Abu, has expressed satisfaction about the success of the immunization exercise in Yendi District.

He said the Yendi District exceeded its target of 59,331 by 61,155 representing 103 per cent.

Mr Abu said these when he met the Yendi National Immunization Committee members at Yendi.

He said despite the fact that the Yendi District faced transportation difficulties in conveying immunization materials supervisors and immunization team members were able to manage with the few vehicles and motorbikes they had.

The Yendi District Disease Control Officer, Mr George Alhassan Mofele, reminded mothers that apart from the National Mass Immunization exercise routine immunization was necessary for children so they should also visit child welfare clinics.
