Mahama sacks Gbevlo Lartey

RadioXYZonline.com can confirm that Ghana’s National security Coordinator Lt. Col. Larry Gbevlo Lartey (Retired) has been sacked.

The president has replaced Mr. Gbevlo Lartey with former Director of the Bureau of National Investigations, Mr. Yaw Donkor.

Mr. Donkor, will assume his new position in acting capacity. Gbevlo Lartey is to handover to his Successor by May 12, 2014.

Mr. Pius Awelinga has also been appointed as acting director of the Bureau of National Investigations.

There are indications these appointments signal the beginning of a major reshuffle of the President’s Cabinet.
