PPP elects more executives

The Progressive People’s Party (PPP) last week continued with its re-organisation efforts by electing executives to man the affairs of the party at the constituency level.

Constituencies which had elections included Gomoa West, Agona East and Agona West all in the Central Region where the party elected vibrant and active members in good standing at highly competitive elections.

At the Gomoa West constituency, Eric Tawiah was elected as the Chairman, Hayford Quaye as the first Vice Chairman and Elsime Thompson as the Women’s Organiser.

Mark Davis Addy, Ebenezer Femi and Doris Amenu were also elected as Chairman, Vice Chairman and Treasurer respectively in the Agona East constituency.

The following executives were also elected to be in charge of affairs in the Agona West Constituency; Mark Fetcher, Chairman; Tsibu Emmanuel, Vice Chairman, and Ebenezer Yankson as Secretary.

The elections were supervised by representatives from the Electoral Commission (EC) who certified them as free and fair.

Director of Operations of the PPP, Nana Ofori Owusu, signaled that “this is the beginning of more things to happen and they are signals that the PPP is coming into full force in 2016.”
