Debate over who is popular in NPP “unhealthy” – Alan Cash

A former flagbearer aspirant of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Alan Kwadwo Kyerematen, has said bickering within the NPP and argument by some political analysts that the most popular person in the party must be the flagbearer for the 2016 polls is “unhealthy”.

According to him, that discussion must ‘cease’ before it affects the party negatively.

“That discussion about who is popular in the party must cease. This is not a popularity contest within the NPP…,” he said

Speaking on Adom FM, Mr. Alan Kyerematen, also known as ‘Alan Cash,’ opined that, claims that he and the two-time presidential candidate of the NPP, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, are not on good terms are just a figment of people’s imagination.

“People should not think I have a problem with Nana Addo. Nana Addo is my elderly brother and he knows. We are good friends, but people think we have issues. This is not helping the party and the unity we are fighting for in the party,” he said.
