The first Messiah Crusade in Covington, Georgia

The first Messiah Crusade was held in Covington, Georgia, in the United States of America, from March 14 through March 16, 2014. It was a powerful and authoritative presentation of the gospel by Brother Amartey, a missionary to the United States of America.

The crusade was organized by two Christian brothers, one an American and the other an African, a Ghanaian; one a white man and the other, a black; one an elderly man and the other a younger man. Both are from different cultures and backgrounds; both are from different generations but both share the love of Christ, both lament about the pathetic condition of the church and both share a burden and vision for a revival of the church, not only in America, but across the world.

The Messiah crusade seeks to proclaim Jesus as the promised Messiah, the only Saviour of mankind, the only Way, the Truth and the Life. This is very important, as for over two thousand years many Jews are yet to accept Jesus as the Messiah. Further, our salvation is contingent upon believing in Jesus as the Messiah. Romans 10:9.

The point of the crusade is that there are not different messiahs for different generations, but only one Messiah for all generations, past, present and future. Jesus said, ” Your father Abraham rejoiced to see My day; and he saw it and was glad. John 8:56. The old faithfuls looked forward to the coming Messiah, while our generation look backwards to the Messiah who came.

The crusade was also a call to repentance, salvation and revival of the church. The seed has been planted, it will bear fruit and the fruit will remain, for the Word of God will not return to Him void, but goes forth to accomplish His purposes. Isaiah 55:10-11
