ECG releases load-shedding timetable today

The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) will today release its timetable for the emergency load shedding management.

The timetable has been drafted to guide load shedding for two weeks, William Boateng, the Company’s Public Relations Officer, said on TV3’s News 360 on Tuesday, March 18.

Mr Boateng said the timetable titled ‘National Load shedding Guide’ will be made available to the public today, Wednesday.

However, as per the schedule, households will go off for 12 hours and have power stability for 48 hours.

He said the timetable has been regionalized with groupings so that areas in one group will go off at the same time.

Only the northern regions including Brong Ahafo Region have not been included in the guide.

Mr Boateng was insistent the timetable is temporary, and it is expected to be updated with information from engineers working on Ghana’s power plants.
