NDC Youth endorsed Alhaji Limuna Mohammed Muniru.

A youth group of the National Democratic Congress Justice Bench in the Tamale South constituency has commended President John Dramani Mahama for last week’s ministerial reshuffle of regional ministers. The group said it is a bold step in the right direction to achieving the better Ghana agenda the NDC promised the people of Ghana. A statement signed by the group’s Chairman Ibrahim Hardi and Secretary Salifu Mashud Abiola said the move by the president to allow regional minister outside their own geographic location to other regions to serve is something that needs to be lauded because it offers each Ghanaian an equal opportunity to serve once they qualify. The statement said not only does that allow competent people to work around the country it also waters down tensions that often characterize the nomination of regional ministers on ethnic and zonal basis. The statement also endorsed the incoming Northern Regional Minister, Alhaji Limuna Mohammed Muniru as a man with the weight to drive the development agenda of the region. The statement described him an appropriate man to deliver on the better Ghana agenda of the NDC. The statement highlighted some of his experience as haven’t worked under the Ministry of Health as a deputy director; served in the capacity as a project coordinator under the national health insurance authority and also worked at the ministry of Water Resource, Works and Housing. The statement further catalogued his credentials as chairman for the Interim Hajj Management Committee in 2008 who played a critical role in stabilizing Hajj operations in Ghana. It said It is their hope that, he will bring his vast experience to bear in the development of the region. it statement called on all to offer Alhaji Limuna Mohammed the support he deserves to fight the common problems of poverty, low opportunities for the people, poor state of infrastructure, poor healthcare delivery among others in the region
