Danquah institute reacts to bogus polls

The attention of the Danquah Institute has been drawn to a story making the rounds on social media and now on www.ghanaweb.com, as well, titled “Danquah Institute predicts 64.7% win for Kwabena Agyepong.”

The Danquah Institute wishes to make it emphatically clear that the report is completely bogus. Pure fabrication. No survey of ours has come up with any such results. What was, therefore, reported by one Kojo Smith of no known repute, as results of a poll conducted by DI is absolutely and totally false. This is clearly a typical case of communist inferior tactics designed to purportedly assist or hurt one campaign or the other, riding falsely on our credibility.

We wish to caution candidates, their strategists and supporters wishing to secure victory in the upcoming National Delegates’ Conference of the New Patriotic Party, against using the Institute in such an indecent manner, perhaps, in the hope that it may or may not help one candidate against the other(s).

We also urge Ghanaweb and other web-based media outlets to guard against that credibility-sapping philosophy of serving as a mere robotic conveyor belt for publishing anything from any source that drops through their inbox.
