ATL Takes Steps To Keep Up With Competition

Accra, (Greater Accra) 13 Sept.,

The Akosombo Textile Limited (ATL) has spent one million Dollars to rehabilitate and up-date its printing machines to meet the competition in the textile industry. A creative design studio has also been established to make the products of the company more acceptable on the market. These were disclosed by Mr. Shing C. Woo, General Manager of the company yesterday at a customers awards night organised in Accra by ATL and sponsored by KLM as part of the company’s 30 years anniversary celebration. He said ATL is working with Standard Chartered Bank for a credit line for its customers. Mr. Kwok Kwong Kam, Sales Manager, congratulated the customers and said ”it is our customers who have helped to distribute all products to most parts of Ghana, making the Ghanaian population to know the name of ATL ”. Mrs. Philomina Kumah, Managing Proprietress of Philoaflus enterprise, Accra, was declared the best customer and had an ‘Accra- Europe-Accra’ air ticket donated by KLM. Afriyie Badu and Sella enterprises both in Accra won the second and third prizes of a 20-inch colour television set and a table-top refrigerator respectively. Gri..
