5 members restrained from using Saviour Church Of Ghana

Accra Fast Track High Court has granted an order of interlocutory injunction, restraining Abraham Adusei and four others, from using the name of Saviour Church of Ghana to either organize or celebrate the 90th Anniversary of the Church.

The court also restrained agents, servants and assigns of the five persons at Osiem, or at any of the church’s branches nationwide, pending the final determination of the case.

The other four persons are Jacob Asirifi, Enoch Ofori, Seth Dwumfour and Daniel Mensah, as well as all registered Trustees of Saviour Church of Ghana.

The Court presided over by Justice L.L Mensah said “this ex-parte injunction though lapses after ten days, its effect resonated till the final determination”.

On Feb 18, a High Court in Accra handed over an interlocutory injunction restraining those five members from using Saviour Church of Ghana’s name.

The ex-parte motion was filed at an Accra Fast Track High Court by Opanyin Peter Kwabena Adjei, Director of the Church.

Mr. Atta Akyea, counsel for Opanyin Adjei, prayed the court that a copy of the notice of order of interlocutory injunction be served on the Inspector-General of Police (IGP), to ensure the rule of law and to avoid any situation of lawlessness and the breach of peace.
