Stop charging fees in dollars – Education Ministry warns

The Education Ministry has warned all pre?tertiary and tertiary institutions against fixing, charging fees and demanding payments in foreign currencies.

This directive follows the Bank of Ghana’s new measures on the usage of foreign currencies.

Deputy Education Minister, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa in a statement indicated that all public and private educational institutions are to comply with the directive.

Executive committee member of the private school owners association Michael Appiah told XYZ News that most schools are already complying with the directive.
