Police in Ejura have arrested three highway robbery suspects for allegedly shooting and killing a driver’s mate.
A fourth suspect is on the run.
The suspects allegedly robbed passengers who were travelling from Ejura to Dorme in Kumasi.
Deputy Ashanti Police Commander ACP Simon Afeku briefing Journalists in Kumasi about the case said the robbers engaged in a robbery on 3rd February.
He said the robbers stopped a commercial vehicle on the Ejura-Domi road and robbed the passengers off their belongings.
ACP Simon Afeku added that the mate of the vehicle was unfortunately gunned down in the process of the attack.
