Politicians more concerned about their parties than Ghana – Charles Owusu

A Communications Team member of the Progressive People’s Party (PPP), Charles Owusu has expressed much regret about the way and manner politicians govern the nation.

According to him, instead of having “Ghana first” at heart, they (Politicians) rather hold with high esteem their various political parties than the country they live in.

“In Ghana now, politicians manage their parties well than they manage the state,” he said.

Charles who was commenting on the founder and leader of the Christian Action Faith Ministries (CAFM), Archbishop Nicholas Duncan-Williams’ prayers for the cedi to bounce back against the dollar noted that he sees no reason why some politicians should attack the man of God.

“Papa” as called by his followers, led a pray last Sunday at the CAFM headquarters for recovery of the fast depreciating currency.

A spirit-filled Duncan Williams prayed, “…I hold up the cedi with prayer and I command the cedi to recover and I declare the cedi will not fall; it will not fall any further. I command the cedi to climb. I command the resurrection of the cedi. I command and release a miracle for the economy”.

But his prayer has generated controversy with some labeling the Archbishop’s prayer as a “comic relief”.

But speaking on Adom FM, the PPP communicator opined that, “because our leaders manage their parties than the state, they get offended when the truth is said against the government. If this country is not managed well, it will affect all of us”.
