The reconstruction, tarring and upgrading of the 50-kilometre Bolgatanga-Bawku trunk road has been awarded on contract.
The Regional Director of the Ghana Highway Authority, Mr. Francis Hammond, disclosed this to the paper.
According to him, the road project was part of the government’s commitment to open up the region and link it with neighbouring ECOWAS countries such as Burkina Faso, Togo, Mali, Niger and Guinea to enhance sub-regional trade.
