NPP made my political career blissful, not CPP – Freddie Blay

After serving as First Deputy Speaker in the Fourth Parliament of Ghana on the ticket of the Convention People’s Party, one would have expected that Mr. Freddie Blay would credit them for their role in enhancing his political career.

However, this was not the case when the former Member of Parliament for Ellembele granted OKAY FM an interview to explain the reason behind his decision to contest for the NPP’s Vice Chair post. He briefly stated that his desire to help NPP recapture power and make Ghana a better place, forced him to vie for that position.

He added that he has always been a team player within the party and could make governing easier when the NPP is in power.

The other half of his views focused on how his intimacy with the NPP had made his political career blissful. Expressing his candid opinion, Mr. Blay stated that he deserves to be grateful to NPP for their extreme support when he began his political career.

“NPP helped me a lot when I wanted to be in parliament. Without the NPP, I would not have made it”, he heartily revealed.
