Wa: Police storm FM studio, bundles Journalist

Police in the Upper West region on Wednesday arrested the Morning show host of Sungmale FM for allegedly accusing Officers there of incompetence and aiding and abetting criminals.

Tinaa Adams was arrested midstream as he presented his show, forcing the station to abruptly end the programme.

XYZ News’ Upper West regional correspondent Abdullah Dan-Hassan says a few Officers stormed into the studios of the station to effect the arrest.

Two other studios guests who were discussing the issue with the host were also arrested.

The three were taken into Police custody and their statements taken. They were later released on bail.

According to Dan-Hassan, the Police are demanding evidence from the Journalist and the two others, concerning their accusation against the Police in the region.
