Odotobri Rural Bank supports 60 needy but brilliant students

As part of its corporate social responsibilities, the Board of Directors of the Bank has approved GH¢22,250.00 as scholarship bursary for 2013/2014 academic year.

In a solemn ceremony held at their Head Office Tuesday January 21st, Board Chairman Mr. Bernard Asamoah Boateng reiterated the bank’s continuous readiness to offer financial assistance to students who put in all seriousness to attain academic heights.

Beneficiaries are first year and continuous students in the various schools, colleges, polytechnics and universities across the country. In all, this year’s package was given to 21 fresh tertiary students, 14 continuing tertiary students, 8 college students and 17 senior high school students.

Presenting the cheque were the Board Chairman, Chairman of the Scholarship Committee – Mr. Emmanuel Osei-Wusu, and CEO of the bank – Mr S. B. Ahmed.

On behalf of the beneficiaries, parents and guardians, Master Bismark Addo of the University of Education, Winneba voted for thanks pledging that with this kind gesture, academic success is guaranteed.

Also present were a representative of the Amansie Central District directorate of the Ghana Education Service, the Headmaster of Jacobu Senior High Technical School and friends from the media.
