New Winneba gets development projects

Government has provided the New Winneba Township and nearby communities with a number of development projects worth millions of Ghana Cedis, to improve the socio-economic well-being of the people.

The projects include classroom blocks, pipe borne water, electricity and public places of convenience.

The communities have also benefitted from a block farming system initiated by the government five years ago to improve agriculture activities in the area and increase food production.

Nana Kwesi Brebu, Chief of New Winneba, who made this known at a ceremony at New Winneba, praised the government for fulfilling the promises it gave to the people in the area in connection with development projects.

Mr Nii Ephraim advised the people to put aside all partisan interests and contribute towards the good of present and future generations.

“If we firmly rally behind the government much would be done to address the remaining challenges confronting us,” he said.
