The greed and selfishness must stop – Rev. Frimpong

Reverend Dr. Seth Frimpong, Head of the Bishop Small African Methodist Episcopal (AME) Zion Church in Kumasi, has called on Ghanaians to eschew greed and selfishness, which he said, were fueling corruption.

It was about time they all accepted to put the common good of the society ahead of individual convenience and comfort.

In his Christmas message to the people, he stated that, this was the way to achieve enduring peace and socio-economic progress.

He called for self-discipline, sacrifice and service to humanity.

Rev Dr. Frimpong also counseled political and religious tolerance, mutual respect and unity, to stave off needless tension and conflict.

At the Vida Bethel Ministry, the Founder and Leader, Rev Dr. Mrs Vida Osei-Mensah said Christmas was not a period for only merry-making, but an opportunity for people to reconcile with God.

She said there was the need for solemnity and sober reflection over the life of Christ, the peace He spoke of, and the hope He brought to mankind.

It was by so doing that people would come to appreciate the real meaning and significance of Christ’s birth.

She reminded all to work together to uphold “our common humanity,” and subdue the indignities of corruption, poverty and conflicts.
