Anti-corruption campaigners are asking government to ensure that the three companies indicted to have received advanced money from the Ghana Youth Employment and Entrepreneurial Development Agency (GYEEDA) refund those monies.
The ministerial committee which investigated the GYEEDA rot has revealed in its report that contracts are heavily skewed in favour of three top companies and chief executives working with the agency.
The three companies RLG Communications, ACI and Craftpro are to pay in total of GH¢55 million, with interest, to the state.
The refund follows some actions taken by the Minister of Justice and Attorney General, on the directives issued by President Mahama recently on GYEEDA investigative report.
Anti-corruption campaigner George Amoh told XYZ News that government can only be commended if the three companies pay back monies.
“There is the need for us to carefully watch and ensure they pay these monies, every pesewa of it”.
